SERUMS vs MOISTURIZERS

SERUMS:
  • Typically lightweight and fast absorbing.

  • Contain high concentrations of active ingredients like antioxidants, vitamins and peptides.

  • Designed to target specific skin concerns like fine lines, dark spots, and dullness. They penetrate deeper into the skin to deliver active ingredients.

  • Applied after cleansing and before moisturizing. Bottled in glass with dropper or pump delivery system.

MOISTURIZERS:
  • Thicker and creamier than serums.

  • Contain occlusives like oils, butters, and humectants like glycerin & hyaluronic acid to hydrate and lock in moisture.

  • Primarily to hydrate and protect the skin's barrier. They can also provide added benefits like anti-aging, soothing properties depending on the formulation.

  • Applied as the FINAL STEP in a skin care routine (both morning & night) to seal in the products applied before.

Our serums and moisturizers are not the typical store-bought products.

Any organic, natural and pure product will be be much thinner because they DO NOT contain fillers, bonding agents and synthetics like silicone. All you need to do is apply a very thin layer and it goes to work. It will absorb quickly and leave a matte-like finish on your skin. DO NOT add more. Adding more only layers the product and creates a build up ... this is not the goal here.

People are used to lathering and smearing on store-bought products for years and this appears to be the norm and comfortable thing to do. We are NOT the norm, nor the status quo. A thin layer is all you need and if you need to add another moisturizer, SPF, or even make up, there is room for it on your skin.

Our products are designed to work below the skin and deep into the cells to cleanse, rejuvenate, repair, heal and regenerate. No covering up, coating, clogging pores, nor irritating skin tissue.

Human physiological changes happen following an adaptation period which is up to 90 days (3 months). The body recognizes patterns of events, and behavioral changes and then adapts to those changes. If the changes are negative (ie: drugs, chemicals, alcohol, etc.) it will adapt and pattern this as the "new norm". If the changes are positive (favors the body's immune system, nutritional needs, healing, etc.) it will adapt to those and pattern them as the "new norm".

Following decades of research and studies of dermatological, cosmetic and cell biology, it has been shown that most "changes" in the skin's cells happen around 28 days and beyond, and, it takes repeated "habits" to make those changes - consistency and persistency. This is real human physiology. This is how our body reacts and adapts.

So, for those products and companies that promise miracles, changes in just 2-3 days, overnight sensations, or conflicting "clinical" trials that go against our human physiology ... BS! They make things complicated, complex, and very confusing to the general public. They are selling you and the public BS! And for decades.

Understand the way the body truly works and then you will understand what your skin really needs to be beautiful, radiant and glowing.

NuVisage: the way skin care should be for decades to come.
